GROCERY STORES/FARMERS MARKETS

   Bring your own carry bags AND your own produce bags – wash and reuse

   Choose glass or aluminum over plastic when possible

   Avoid excessive wrapping – especially for fruit and vegetables

   Buy in bulk using your own containers

AT HOME Use LESS PLASTIC
  Alternatives for film, foil, plastic water bottles 

  Use metal water bottles, waxed paper, glass containers 

  Use bar soap and shampoo instead of plastic bottles

  Use powder laundry and dishwasher detergent – no plastic capsules

SHOP at Thrift stores 

 Secondhand clothing sheds far less plastic particles and costs much less

SORRY BUT Recycling plastic is a MYTH

  Carry your own metal water bottle 

SUPPORT in the future

   Filters for washing machines

   Planted roadside strips to capture tire particles

   Ban sale of single use plastic bottles – statewide
