Santa Cruz Climate Action Network has joined the City of Santa Cruz and Generation 180 for the Keep it Cool campaign. We’ve teamed with Generation 180 to get local stores to close the door when using heat or air conditioning.
The incentive for businesses to comply is NOT fines, but a “Cool” phone app which lets citizens report on the businesses – good and bad!
This is the first west coast launch. We hope it will not only save energy $$$ and greenhouse emissions but also ramp up local awareness of the dire need to quit wasting energy and resources.
