This is an update on the EV market new and used.

Watsonville Chevy which works closely with our EV program at Ecology Action, has an abundance of Bolts and EUV’s on their lot. They will  reduce their new EV Bolt inventory by $1500 off MSRP for each vehicle. In addition to that you can get $7500 off at the dealership through the dealership Fed EV tax credit, plus $2000, $3000 or $4000 depending on your income qualification from 3CEnergy, in their customers region (most of the central coast).

If you get the max 3CEnergy rebate ($4000) your total savings is $13000. Not Bad.

There are a lot of used EV’s in the Bay area and locally. Prices are dropping and will continue to drop as long as these EV’s sit on the lot’s as they are presently. There are great incentives for buying used as well. Fed tax credit if your income qualifies for $4000, purchase cost has to be below $25000 and 2 years old or older. And $4000 from PG&E if you are below the median income in your county. Santa Cruz county is $92,500 for a single household and goes up approximately $13,000 when adding an additional household member, i.e. $105,700 for a household of 2 etc.

You’ll also qualify for the 3cenergy rebate of $1000, $2000 or $3000 depending on your income.

         Link to some examples.

The above example will cost you approximately $5800 – $7800 depending on the amount you get from 3CEnergy, plus EV fed tax credit and PG&E rebate.

Most all these EV’s have their original warranties except the 3yr 36000 mile bumper to bumper warranty.
